Privacy Policy

The short version: DreamKnock has no servers, no accounts, no analytics and no networking code. Everything happens on your Apple Watch, and nothing ever leaves it.

Data we collect

None. DreamKnock does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data. The app contains no networking functionality, no third-party SDKs, no advertising, and no analytics or tracking of any kind.

Health data (HealthKit)

With your permission, DreamKnock reads your heart rate (and resting heart rate) via Apple HealthKit during a sleep session you start manually.
Heart-rate data is processed in real time, on the watch itself, solely to infer REM (dreaming) sleep and time haptic cues. It is never uploaded, exported, or shared.
The overnight session is saved to Apple Health as a workout so watchOS permits continuous heart-rate monitoring. That record lives in your Apple Health store, under your control, and can be deleted there at any time.
DreamKnock never uses Health data for advertising or marketing and never shares it with third parties, in accordance with Apple's HealthKit guidelines.

Motion data

DreamKnock reads wrist accelerometer data during a sleep session to detect stillness. It is processed in memory on the device and is not stored beyond the session, uploaded, or shared.

Dream journal & reports

Your dream journal entries, dream-sign tags and nightly reports are stored locally on your Apple Watch only. Deleting the app permanently deletes them.

Notifications

Reality-check reminders are local notifications scheduled on your device. No push-notification servers are involved.

Children

DreamKnock is not directed at children and collects no data from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new effective date. Since the app collects no data, changes are unlikely.
